Summer Is Here
Summer Has Arrived
Yesterday, I watched students at the elementary school down the street celebrate their last day of school. The excitement was contagious. Summer is officially here, and for many families that means vacations, barbecues, longer days, and a chance to slow down—at least a little.
My family recently kicked off summer with an adventure of our own. After our daughter completed her study abroad program, we spent time exploring Denmark, Norway, and Scotland together. We hiked through fjords, wandered historic cities, drove winding roads through incredible scenery, and enjoyed the kind of family time that is hard to come by when everyone is busy.

Of course, if you've worked with me, you know there is no such thing as completely unplugging.
While most people were asleep in Europe, I was often on calls with clients, taking loan applications, negotiating underwriting conditions, and connecting with Realtor partners back home. More than once, I found myself working at 11:00 p.m. local time so I could catch people at the beginning of their day in California.
The funny thing is, I didn't mind.
One of the things I appreciate most about this business is that it allows me to help people wherever I happen to be. Whether it's helping a first-time buyer become a homeowner, finding financing for a home improvement project, or helping someone improve their cash flow, the work remains meaningful no matter what time zone I'm in.

And after spending a few weeks away, I came home with an even greater appreciation for what we do. Real estate can be challenging. Mortgage rates change. Markets shift. Transactions get complicated. But every day we have the opportunity to help people make important decisions that impact their families and their futures.
That's a pretty good reason to answer the phone—even at 11 o'clock at night from the other side of the world.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful summer, and if there's anything I can do to help your clients along the way, I'm only a phone call away.
